Description

On this tour we will walk through off-the-beaten-path parts of the city; visiting parks, gardens and palaces and getting to know its history and nature. We will go to places you would not find on your own in the city, such as caves, forests, lagoons and huge trees.

We will start our tour in the Egia neighbourhood, and then head to the Cristina enea park, a beauty just 15 minutes away from the city centre. Walking through this park we will discover a palace that hides a love story and peacocks, yes... peacocks living inside the city! Then we will cross the river to go to Amara. In this neighbourhood we will get to know the main aspects of modern life and the daily life of the inhabitants of this city. After touring Amara, we will head to Aiete Park, which is one of the largest and most beautiful parks in San Sebastian, but which many people still don't even know about. We will find huge trees, a cave and a palace where the most loved and hated characters of the state have stayed during the summer season. Finally we will head to the gardens and palace of Miramar, where a queen put San Sebastian on the map as a tourist destination during the 'Belle Epoque'. Finally, we couldn't end this walk without a nice glass of wine or cup of coffee in one of San Sebastian's neighbourhoods. So, we will head to the Antiguo neighbourhood, a very modern neighbourhood that nevertheless bears witness to the birth of this city, more than 800 years ago.

- Visit three parks and gardens and learn about the nature of the place.

- Admire three palaces and discover the history behind them.

- Walk through little-visited local neighbourhoods and discover another side of the city.
