Seville Film Festival

Due to the great variety of the heritage that the city of Seville treasures, its history, marked by different periods and cultures that have contributed to the city and left their mark, among many other things, makes it a unique space for various functions. Today we focus on cinema, Seville as a film set.

Many films and series have been shot in Seville, some of them very well-known and of great cinematographic value: Are you a movie know-it-all? Would you like to know about the places that have served as a stage for filming in Seville? With Pancho Tours you can do it! Here are some of them!

Visit with Pancho Tours the Royal Palace of Seville. Within this fortified palace, which has been declared a World Heritage Site, numerous films and series have been shot, some of which are very notable, such as "The Kingdom of Heaven" in 2004 or the world-famous series "Game of Thrones" in 2015 and 2016. In the case of Game of Thrones, the Royal Fortress was used to give life to the "Kingdom of Dorne" ruled by the "House of Tyrell".

You know that in Pancho Tours we have our Free Tour every day at 11:00 am from the Plaza Virgen de los Reyes. Thanks to it, you will be able to discover some of the places that have also served as the setting for films. For example, the Plaza Virgen de los Reyes itself, where "Noche y Dia" was recorded in 2009, the Teatro Lope de Vega which was used to shoot films such as "Lawrence of Arabia" in 1962 or "Moscow Zero" in 2005, or the Hotel Alfonso XIII where films such as "Homer Portrait Intermittent" in 1966 or "Andalusia in 2011" were shot.

Although perhaps one of the most important places (cinematically speaking) we visit with our Free Tours is the Plaza de España. A large number of films and series have been shot there, including "Star Wars, Episode 2" in 2002, "The Orange Girl" in 2008 and "The Dictator" in 2011.

Another popular place in Seville for film production companies to use as their stage is the Santa Cruz neighbourhood. In its narrow alleyways, numerous films have been filmed, such as "Carmen" in 2002, "Nadie conoce a nadie" in 1999 and "Lifting de Corazón" in 2005. All these are places you will be able to learn about with Pancho Tours, accompanied by our City Lovers with our tour in Barrio Santa Cruz.

With Pancho Tours you can make all your wishes come true! There are so many different ways to get to know the city of Seville and Pancho Tours offers them all.
