In this article we will talk about what to see and do in Seville in 3 days. A perfect city for a long weekend getaway. The Andalusian capital has us in love, its climate, culture, monuments, gastronomy and above all its people make it a unique and magical place.

Seville is for strolling, admiring its streets, colours and aromas. So, in order to enjoy your visit to the full, we recommend you to have your own itinerary. The Andalusian capital adapts to everyone, as there are a thousand things to do. Here are some of the city's must-sees.

First day in Seville

The first day in Seville is a good time to get settled in, leave your bags in your hotel or flat and take a stroll around, enjoying the architecture and the atmosphere.

Our recommendation, if it is your first time in the city, is to take a Free Tour. In which the most important monuments and the history of Seville will be explained to you.

Pancho Tours is the pioneer in Free Walking Tours in Seville, since 2009. Discover with us the most emblematic monuments of the city, in a walking tour of approximately two hours and fifty minutes.

These tours usually take place in the old town. So, when you finish, you can go for a walk to the Triana neighbourhood, cross its famous bridge, visit the pottery and have a few beers and tapas in San Jacinto.

Finally, an image not to be missed is the sunset by the river and the Triana bridge.  Looking towards this neighbourhood, the colours of the houses in Calle Betis and the reflection of the bridge in the water stand out.

Second day in Seville

Without a doubt, on the second day in Seville, it is time to visit the jewels in the crown.

We will start with a visit to “Los Reales Alcázares”. This palace complex is located right in the centre of the city. It is one of the oldest royal palaces in use in the world. The palaces, courtyards and gardens that make up “the Real Alcázar “ mix different architectural styles: Islamic, Mudejar, Gothic, Renaissance and even Baroque. Are you going to miss it?

As it is one of the most visited monuments in the city, we recommend you to buy your tickets online to avoid queues.

The Alcázar of Seville is full of beautiful nooks and crannies in the palaces and gardens. We recommend you not to watch the clock or follow the hectic pace of the people. Walk around this palace and enjoy every corner with our audio guide. If you want more information about our audioguides you can read the following article "Information about audioguide Real Alcázar of Seville".

After the visit to the Alcázar, which will last at least two hours. We recommend you to visit the second jewel in the crown. The Seville Cathedral is the largest Gothic cathedral in the world. And although it may seem enough to admire it from the outside, our advice is to go inside and visit its chapels. You can't leave this monument without climbing the Giralda or visiting the patio de los Naranjos and the Biblioteca Colombia.

Go to the Santa Cruz neighbourhood and get lost in its narrow streets. This area has some of the best places to try some of the city's most typical dishes. The Santa Cruz neighbourhood was part of the old Jewish quarter of Seville, of which the church of Santa María la Blanca, a 13th century synagogue, is still preserved.

Third day in Seville

The third and last day of your visit to Seville has arrived and it's time to make the most of it.

Enjoy the good weather, strolling through the Maria Luisa Park among centenary trees, fountains and nature. Visit the most famous square in Seville, “Plaza de España”. A spectacular Ibero-American construction. Look for your province by the different benches in the square.

Nearby, although outside the park, is the Aquarium of Seville, recommended if you are a lover of the marine world.

From here you can take the tram, get off at the Plaza del Ayuntamiento and go to the Barrio de la Alfalfa. Located behind the City Hall building, it is ideal for shopping or drinking a few beers in one of its bars. Sierpes and Tetuán streets are the two main arteries of the neighbourhood, both pedestrianised and full of shops.
